    Akhil Wadhera, MD is the Regional Director of Laser Surgery at Kaiser Permanente Northern California located in Union City, California. At Kaiser Permanente in Northern California he uses lasers to treat many medical conditions such as birthmarks, vascular malformations, hidradenitis suppurativa, and surgical and traumatic scars. He also uses lasers in asethetic medicine to treat patients of all skin types to improve the functional, structural and cosmetic outcomes of patients for over 18 years. He trained under the mentorship of Dr. Suzanne Kilmer at Skin and Cancer Surgery Center of Northern California, where he was her fellow in 2005. He has a backgroun in enginnering and obtained his medicine and residency training at UC Davis in Sacramento. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
