Dr. Chung earned her MD from Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea in 2001. She completed her residency and fellowship training in Dermatology at the same institution. Following that, she finished her post-doctoral research fellowship and residency in dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Later, in 2016, she completed her dermatopathology fellowship at Boston University, Boston.
Dr. Chung is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist, serving as the director of cosmetics and laser surgery, as well as the director of the Skin of Color/Asian Skin clinic at the Department of Dermatology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her research primarily focuses on histology-based cosmetic procedures, laser therapy, scarring disorders, pigmentary disorders, Asian skin diseases, and Skin of Color.
