Dr. Aria Vazirnia, MD, MAS, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and ASDS fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon practicing in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Vazirnia graduated summa cum laude from UCLA before attending UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he completed his medical degree, dermatology residency training, and a master's degree in clinical research. Throughout his residency, Dr. Vazirnia authored numerous medical journal articles and textbook chapters, and held board positions with the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.
Continuing his professional development, Dr. Vazirnia completed a rigorous ASDS-accredited laser and cosmetic dermatology fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Rox Anderson and Dr. Mathew Avram at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine in Boston. While at Harvard, Dr. Vazirnia was trained by world experts and inventors of many laser devices to operate these energy-based devices safely yet effectively.
During and following his fellowship, Dr. Vazirnia cultivated a deep interest in tumescent liposuction. He then completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Tumescent Liposuction and Liposculpture at the Roxbury Institute in Beverly Hills under the mentorship of Dr. David Amron. Here, he trained in an innovative three-dimensional circumferential approach to lymphatic sparing liposuction for lipedema treatment. He now practices as part of the Advanced Lipedema Treatment Program at the Roxbury Institute, with offices both in Beverly Hills, CA and Salt Lake City, Utah.
