    Sean Wu, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Hunt Valley, MD, who specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. His general dermatology interests include melasma, skin cancer, acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. He also offers a wide variety of cosmetic treatments, including injectable treatments (neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and sclerotherapy) and laser therapies (vascular, pigmentary, resurfacing, microneedling, skin tightening). Dr. Wu currently serves as the Vice President of the Maryland Dermatologic Society.

    Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Wu completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology at Princeton University. He then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, in Cleveland, OH, where he found his passion for dermatology. He graduated medical school with distinctions in research for his work at the Cleveland Clinic. He went on to receive his clinical training in internal medicine at the University of Chicago followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati, serving as chief resident in his final year of residency. Afterwards, Dr. Wu completed a cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship with Drs. Robert and Margaret Weiss before starting his clinical practice with Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin, and Vein.

    His research has been published in renown journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and Dermatologic Surgery. He has also presented his research at national conferences and has published a book chapter on rejuvenation of the chest. He was awarded the Dr. Alastair and Jean Carruthers Award for best cosmetic abstract by the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons in 2022.

    In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, and traveling.
