Rachana Visaria is an Assistant Director in the Office of Ophthalmic, Anesthesia, Respiratory, ENT and Dental Devices at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with a strong commitment to public health. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah and post doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Before joining the FDA in 2015, Rachana founded In Vivo Temperatures LLC in 2013 and served as the Vice President of MR Safe Devices from 2010-2014. She is a holder of Regulatory Affairs Certification and is FDA’s liaison on International Standards for Anesthesia, Respiratory and Sleep devices. She has edited book sections, and published several book chapters, journal papers and conference articles.
